I am following a Tutorial, found here: vulkan-tutorial.com/Introduction
So far I am up to depth-buffering. This means that I have got textures working, and so am close to displaying a preview image.
There will be no helper window for this one as that would involve a lot of effort to import the microsoft code required, instead there will be a console window.
As for Vulkan, it's fun. It's a lot more explicit than OpenGL, so it takes ages to get anything done. This means that the program has to assume less and can therefore run faster. It has a good structure though, and it's logical.

The code for it is closed source as it contains sensitive information about our site, but you can imagine how I did it with a few uses of
scandir() and filemtime()
